FRENCH MIDFIELDER MATHIEU FLAMINI MIGHT LEAVE ARSENAL IN THIS SUMMER

Arsenal are ready to offload French midfielder Mathieu Flamini this summer, according to the Telegraph. Buy FIFA 15 coins Online.

Flamini, who only returned to the club in the summer of 2013, has endured a tricky time in north London of late, and could now be set to leave the club sooner rather than later after failing to hold down a permanent position in the first team.

At 30-years of age, the player’s best years now appear to be behind him, so it’s not entirely surprising that Gunners chief Arsene Wenger is looking to move him on.

In truth, the club’s holding-midfielders have struggled to prove themselves of late, with a number of their stars being the subject of much criticism.

TWO OUT?

And now it appears that Wenger is ready to mix things up in the middle of the park, with the same report from the Telegraph revealing that the club are also ready to offload Abou Diaby, who has endured a nightmare couple of years at the club.

Diaby has failed to maintain his fitness for some time now and with his contract set to expire at the end of the campaign, it appears that he will have to move on as he goes in search of getting his career back on track.

It appears, though, that the Gunners will add to their midfield department, with the report revealing that Wenger and Co. are interested in securing the services of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

The Saints star has enjoyed a fine couple of seasons on English soil, and is now recognised as one of the leading midfielders in the Premier League.

IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE

There’s no doubt about it, the Gunners are in desperate need of improvement in the midfield department. Unfortunately for Flamini, he no longer looks strong enough to roam around in the middle of the park in north London, while Schneiderlin would prove an excellent signing for the club.

The French international, who starred at this past summer’s World Cup, has gone from strength-to-strength at the St Mary’s, so would no doubt become a key player under the guidance of Wenger. The Arsenal chief must do all he can to ensure that the Southampton man ends up an Arsenal player this summer.
